Buju (Daniel Benson) is a Nigerian Afro-Fusion singer, songwriter and record producer (Lagos, May 19, 1997) and is known for distinct music sound. With the help of social media, Buju first gain popularity after he asked the public to help him tag Zlatan Ibile in a freestyle video he posted so he could give him a free verse. After a viral video with a verse of Zlatan, Buju was signed to the record label ‘Spacemanship’ by Burna Boy.
A remix of his single L’enu featuring Burna Boy was being used as an introductory anthem for Buju. He was also featured on Feelings by Ladipoe. Buju won the City People Entertainment Awards of revelation of the year in 2020 and in 2021 his collaboration with Wizkid on their song “Mood” earned him a number one spot on UK Afrobeats Singles Chart On 20 December 2021.
